Commission Information

Fees

• $40 for a small, low-resolution square suitable for web (approx 600x600 pixels), the GAIA avatar collection is a good example of what a small piece looks like.

• $100 starting price for an 8.5x11" high-resolution illustration (300dpi, 2550x3300 pixels), a simple background with a single figure. Additional people/characters will cost you a bit more depending on the complexity.

• $175 starting price for anything above 8.5x11", depending on size and detail requested. Or in the case of Andre, a pinky from him will suffice >:3

PROCESS

Upon agreement of my commission terms, I require payment for half of the total charge up front. This is so I can have the commission on record in addition to establishing it. After I receive the initial payment, I will do a rough sketch and send it back to you for approval. After approval, I will finish the illustration by inking, coloring, and adding backgrounds and other details to the specifications agreed.

On request, I can also establish a website where you can check my progress on your piece, so you don't have to keep asking me about it and I don't have to keep emailing you (although I am open to comments/questions/concerns during the whole process so don't be afraid to speak up).

Once I'm finished, I will send a low-resolution, watermarked version, and an invoice. Upon receiving the second half of the payment, I will send you the high-resolution version. Once it's complete, please don't ask for changes. It's the reason why I post works-in-progress, to prevent something like that from happening. Not only is it difficult, but I'm less inclined to go back and fix it...and if it's something that you really want me to change then be prepared to pay for an editing cost.

Payment

I current accept payment in USD via paypal, to mariska8 (@) hotmail.com.
** NOTE: Please do not send any money until we have agreed upon terms of the commission. **

things to consider

• The fee guidelines are very general, and may increase or decrease based on the amount of detail requested, e.g., detailed backgrounds, additional characters, props, effects, etc. Feel free to e-mail me with a description of what you'd like for a quote.

• Please keep in mind what you'll be requesting from me. As you can tell I do my best working with female characters. And while I will try my best in executing what you want, some things are more difficult for me than others.

• When you're sending me a description of what you want, reference images are much more helpful than a full story on a specific character. I find that a combination of images and quick notes work best. It doesn't have to be a formal essay. Bullet statements are a lot easier for me to read and keep track of, and it makes the descriptions nice and orderly. It's better to provide links than to email me images.

• I have the right to use, display, and duplicate any commissioned work I do, for example, posting on websites, or printing in art books or other publications.
